SOURCE: where to check/put in transmission fluid in 2005 Pontiac Sunfire

I assume this is an automatic transmission, you didn't say.
There is no dip stick on the transmission any longer.
You will have to go under the car to check. You may want to go to your local instant oil change and have them check the level.
If you feel you want to check it, here is a description of the location and process.

Make certain the vehicle remains level while checking the fluid.
Located just above the top sealing flange of the transmission oil pan you will find a threaded plug. Remove the plug and see if transmission fluid drips out of the hole. If so, the fluid level is correct. If not, remove the red fill cap on top of the transmission, driver side. Add fluid to the transmission until fluid dribbles out of hole.
Replace and tighten the plug.
Good luck.
Regards,

2005 SANTURN L 300 WITH 2 CODE ONE IS 0727 AND THE OTHER IS 0700 COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT THAY ARE FOR THANK YOU

Check these links out...
https://www.autocodes.com/p0700_saturn.html
https://www.autocodes.com/p0727_saturn.html
So you can look codes up for yourself next time... I found these by doing a web search for your year make, model, and obd codes ( 2005 SATURN L 300 obd codes ). Then I just checked out the first site that came up.
Otherwise, try finding the (0700) TCM. Unplug the connectors and plug them back in. I hear that sometimes that will help. (I don't know where to find it in your car) It 'should' look like #1 in the following link/diagram...
http://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.com/products/Saturn/L300/MODULE-Control-Module-Transmission-Control-Module/2992539/24221193.html
It is also suggested that you reseat/clean the connectors to your transmission/transaxle.
This may also help resolve your (0727) CKP issue. Otherwise, try reseating the connector on the CKP also... 'should' be #6 in the following link/diagram...
http://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.com/products/Saturn/2005/L300/SENSOR-Distributor-also-Knock-Sensor/2518414/09195883.html
If those procedures don't help, you may have to test/replace one or both of those parts. There may be a procedure on testing the CKP that you can do. But, I don't think there is an easy way to test the TCM.

Good luck!!

Check transmission on L300 2003

No dip stick, there is a fill plug (RED) on top of trans, there is a level plug lower in the trans. Remove both plugs on level surface and fill until the fluid flows out of the bottom plug.

Transmission fluid in radiator reserve tank 2002 saturn l300 v6 changed the radiator and stioll have yellow goo in reserve tank could it be the oil cooler

It could be and inspect your transmission fluid and have it serviced if it is the transmission fluid and also your engine oil. Engine coolant is corrosive to the bearings in your transmission and engine and can cause you to loose which ever you have cross contamination with.
If it's transmission fluid, then you'll loose your transmission is not corrected and if it's engine oil. Then your going to loose the engine shortly if not corrected.
Sorry for the bad news and thank you for using fixya.

What type of power steering fluid does a 2005 Saturn Relay2 use?

It should say on the cap, and it will be in the owners manual. If you don't have one you get get a free electronic copy from GM here
It is probably the same as your transmission fluid - but I have never owned a Saturn.

How do you sheck the transmition fluid

02/'03 L200/L300's don't have transmission dipsticks most likely reflecting Saturn's confidence of a leak-free transmission, leaving only a red fill cap on the transmission. The actual method for checking transmission level is a very abnormal method; parking on a level surface, removing the transmission oil level bolt/cap from the transmission, observing whether or not fluid flows out. Excess fluid will flow out automatically establishing the proper level and amount of transmission fluid. Less would mean topping off by pouring some into the top access fill hole and observing if fluid flows out the leveled drain hole until fluid flows out. This would indicate proper levels and replacing the top and access plug is all that's necessary. Messy as compared to the old method. The access bolt will be sized differently from the other bolts holding the transmission sump on. I would assume your '01 L200 is the same. Use regular Dexron ATF red transmission fluid.

Cant find a dipstick to check transmission fluid on a Saturn L300 (2004). Where do you check the amount of fluid in the transmission.

Sometimes like in a BMW there is no dipstick and the fluid may be checked by a cylinder container much like the brake fluid resevoire. It would have a dipstick in the cap.
