First... you have found the cord for it right. it's usually mounted on the side of the block. if that motor is in sideways it's on the side toward the firewall... it's round as well

the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, with #1 being pass side front cylinder, unless you're overseas, where it's the driver's side front cylinder. Either way, the #1 cylinder is still the one closest to the front of the engine.

How to change thermostat on 1991 pontiac sunbird le 2.0 liter without draining rad.to test old themostat,imerse in hotwater ??


You can put the thermostat in a pot of water on the stove
& put a thermometer in there to test,to learn something,
that's a good idea

Your still going to install a new one every 6 to 8 years

You don't have to drain much to remove it from the car

sounds like your talking about a freeze plug if it is in the block.there are 4 of them 1 for each cyl. the part is cheep but a pain to get to.not for the novice DIY.

Leaking oil very badly at what looks like a sensor located near oil filter mount on my 1993 Pontiac Sunbird LE 2.0 liter. Any help is greatly appreciated!


this sounds like the oil pressure switch(ops) is leaking.pickup a ops and replace the sensor and the leak will stop

Had same problem. Hard to find but it's there. Pull off bottom kick plates and feel around in behind heater and stereo contols for a regular round top flasher.

What are the steps needed to remove and replace the heater core


REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
  1. Negative battery cable and drain cooling system.
  2. Raise vehicle and remove drain tube from heater case.
  3. Heater hoses from heater core and lower vehicle.
  4. Right and left sound insulators and steering column opening filler.
  5. Floor air outlet duct and heater core cover.
  6. Heater core mounting clamps and remove heater core.
INSTALL OR CONNECT

  1. Heater core and heater core mounting clamps.
  2. Heater core cover and floor air outlet duct.
  3. Right and left sound insulators and steering column opening filler.
  4. Raise vehicle and connect heater hoses to heater core.
  5. Drain tube to heater case and lower vehicle.
  6. Negative battery cable and fill cooling system.
  7. Check for leaks.
