How do i get a key code to get a door key made for 1998 pontiac firebird

Well a 1998 would be too old for a dealer to still have those books.
You would probably need to take a door lock cylinder out and have a locksmith cut a key from it. Or drive the car to a locksmith.

Ignition key faulty

The best thing to do when the ignition key goes bad is to go to the Mercedes Dealership with the VIN number and proof of ownership, and have them make you an new key. You can call a locksmith and they will make you a new key but it will cost a lot more. So I would suggest going to the dealership and getting one made.

I lost my keys to my 1998 buick regal and don't have an extra. I got into my car, but I need to move it. How do I go about doing this?

You'll probably need to call a locksmith or a local shop and have the lock cylinder replaced to get a key. Some locksmiths will come to your car, saving you the money of having it towed to a shop.

My key does not work. need a key. $285 is too much to pay for a key. C230. 1998. can i get one cheaper? thanks

I had the same problem with a GMC recently. What I did was take the VIN to GM, and my registration for the truck, and bought a key code from them. Then I took the key code to a locksmith, and had a key made. That cost $20. I think the code was about $40. You should be able to do the same with a Benz. Good luck!

Lost key to 1983 Mercedes 500sl

I would suspect the dealer would beat up the pocketbook a bit more. Without knowing the key code you only have the dealer and a solid locksmith as options.
