Your fuel pump power is controlled through the oil pressure switch, and if it is showing low pressure due to a leaking/defective oil pressure switch, it may shut off the fuel pump. Oil pressure switch failures are a common source for oil leaks. There could, and probably are, other issues going on. You never mentioned if the "check engine" light was on, and if it is, a scan would definitely be in order to determine the true cause of your problem
If it is not on, GM fuel pump failures are very common, as well as the vehicle security system my be having a programming issue. I would start by having the engine scanned (most Autozone locations do this for no charge) Good luck!
as I have read on a lot of problems with the stabilink light and reduced engine power. really the only fix, is to call dealership to see if this can be fixed. Good-day!
All of these systems are link together by retrieve trouble codes it can point you in a direction of repair most likly you have a failed wheel speed sensor.
Try cleaning the throttle body first !!! Be sure to use "THROTTLE BODY" cleaner, and NOT " CARBURETOR " cleaner !!! (( DO NOT GET CLEANER ON ELECTRICAL PARTS OR CONNECTORS. VERY IMPORTANT !!!))
WHAT HAPPENED IS WHEN YOU SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED YOU (RESET THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT COMPUTER) AND THE SERVICE LIGHT SHOULD GO OUT AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING
if you remove wire connection from temp sender unit and guage goes down then reconnect it goes up ? it is probably the temp sender unit is fault this is if you are certain engine/coolant system is ok and no indication of o/heating ?
