SOURCE: Trying to remove a fuel filter From a 2001 VW

VERY CAREFULLY - If you break the quick disconnects on the fuel lines it will cost you a fortune!!! 500.00 + because they have to string NEW FUEL LINES. - I have replaced the fuel filter a couple of times - I have a 2000 beetle with a 1.8 Turbo. The fuel lines are pressurized so you will need to relieve the pressure before you try and remove the filter or you will get a face full of gas. The filter comes off by pushing the fuel line toward the filter and then pushing the quick release button on the fuel line. The fuel line should then decouple - the filter lives under the car near the right rear tire (just in front) Good luck and be careful

1970 vw beetle windshield defroster no hot air

Does the heater blower motor work? If it does and the heater works, then the passage from the heater to the windshield must be not open. Real old-school, it is probably cable operated for defrost.
If the blower motor is not blowing air, it is an electrical problem with the motor. Would help to have a voltmeter. Do you?

Is there a heater illum bulb in a 2001 VW Beatle

Set the fan speed switch to position #2. Grab the fan speed knob and pull it straight off. It might fight you a bit, but it will come off. Once you have the knob off, lookinside the control unit and you will see the bulb. I have seen these just fall out of the socket on their own.

Heater blower does not work on my audi a4, where

The blower motor is located behind the glovebox.

You will need to remove the glovebox and you will see the blower motor at the top right side. Remove the screws holding it, disconnect the electrical connector and remove it from the car. It is a tight squeeze, be patient.
