SOURCE: very squeaky belt or pully, use to stop when gas

1999 probably has a serpantine belt (multi grooved). I would guess that you may have a squeaky belt or more likley a bad bearing in on of the idler pulleys. Remove the belt and spin the idlers by hand. If one feels rough or makes noise replace it.

SOURCE: Gas pedal reving up and not relaxing.

I have had a problem on a 2008 Santa Fe with the gas pedal going to idle while driving. I shut the car off and turned it back on and it behaved normally so I drove it to the dealer. It had triggered the check engine light and the Hyundai mechanics were able to read a code that told them that the problem was in the sensor on the pedal. They replaced it under warranty. No problem since.

Usually when you press the gas pedal to the floor you are making the computer think the car is flooded with fuel and it shuts off the injectors.

Hi, The automatic shift lever of my 2003 Toyota 4Runner is been hard to shift up and own. I applied some force and now the automatic shift lever is moving without tension. Please help with solution

The shifter linkage has come loose -- most likely where it's connected inside the console, but the entire length of the linkage needs to be checked.

Gas peddle sticks

Most gas pedal is connected to the carburetor by a 1/8 or 1/16 inch cable to control the gas entering the combustion chamber of the engine. When this get stucked due to wear, it is high time to get a replacement Accelerator Cable for Toyota 1992 4 Runner. Get this done, and send your e-mail comments.

Gas pedal is tough.

The accelerator cable may be frayed or caught on something. Check and make sure it is not binding on another part.

push the clutch pedal all the way and see if the slave cylinder pushrod is going out at least an inch, if not replace the slave cylinder, if it does goes out, sad to say but you have problem somewhere else inside your clutch assembly
