36mm is a little loose but a 35mm will not fit, I use the 36mm all of the time. It's such a heavy nut and stud it will NOT have any effect.

If it's still driveable, just remove the hub cap and go to autozone and have them check it out for you. they'll give you the right size socket.

The torque specs.are for 15k series trucks is 155 ft.lbs.For 25/35 series it`s 133 ft.lbs.Hope this helps.Good luck.
