If that is where the problem is, Then pulling tranny is a must. Make sure leakage is not coming from another source on the the engine, like on top at a hose connection. Confirm it is coolant and not clear water. Guest above has this one figured out.

Our 1994 pontiac transport van does not heat. Heater blower runs once in a while?

From your description, it sounds like your fan is the problem? I'm not intimately familiar with the pontiac vans but you pretty much need to track down the heater fan motor and the wiring between it and the switch. Check these wires for a fault and/or replace the wiring or the switch or the motor if need be. Because it's an intermittent fault, I think you probably just have a poor connection.

Check all your fuses just in case.

Good luck!

93 pontiac transport transmission wont engage

the only thing that links it to radiator is trans fluid cooling lines. when was the last time trans. was serviced? thats should be done. look in your owners manual it will tell you in there when its to be serviced, should be around every 30,000 to 50,000 mi. if its been a while get it serviced.
