97 dodge Intrepid with Cooling Problem

MY 1997 dodge intrepid is having a cooling problem and I don't know what it is. It is a 3.5L I was going down the freeway at 70mph and it ran fine untill 40 miles down the road then I seen smoke and my engine was overheating. It is not the thermostate or a hose. No Antifreeze in the oil either and has little in the radiator I need help please.

If you've already tested the stat by placing it in very hot water to verify that it does open ,then it might be that the high pressure reservoir cap leaks. With the engine cold, check the under side of the cap for cracks in its gasket . My 3.5L had a frozen stat and a leaking cap at the same time however the cap problem wasn't evident until I replaced the stat. By the way - It's always a good idea to test new thermostats before installing them . I had to learn that the hard way.

I need to reassemble driver side rear brakes on a 97 dodge intrepid

Perhaps if you post some photos of the springs, clips, and other hardware, as well as the brake assembly itself, I could probably be able to guide you. However, I don't know what it looks like, so I have nothing to go on.

My 97 dodge intrepid 3.5L is running hot.

Most likely a bad fan relay, or a bad temp sensor. Does the fan come on with the A/C? If not, most likely the relay, if so, most likely the temp sensor.

97Dodge Intrepid Problem

Numerous things can cause this, plugged rad, faulty thermostat, low coolant, cooling fan not operating, bad cap,and if it's left too long or overheats too much, you could cause major damage like head gasket, head cracking. The later are major expenses, so don't let it get to that. Does it heat up on highway, or in stop & go more? Does turning your heater on, make it cool down a bit? Do you know if your rad has been flushed lately, and thermostat changed?
