SOURCE: gm passlock security system how to disable

Wiring diagrams can be found online, however i believe you can re-learn the key by leaving it inside the ignition tumblen and switch it to accesory. Then disconnect the b attery for about ten minutes and then try starting the car without taking the key out.

SOURCE: 2007 Impala rear tire wear due rear wheel spindle rods

I have gone thru 3 sets of good tires now. Tires lasting from 10-12k miles before they hit cords. This is after the dealer does an alignment to spec. Funny thing is I have never seen the alignment specs from the dealer, I only get "aligned to spec". My wear is on the inside of the tires just as described in the police bulletin. I have tried different brands each time and get the same result (wear to the cords in 6 months or less). The bulletin only applies to the police version becasue GM doesn't want the bill for the thousands of ordinary customers repairs. There are enough complaints of this exact thing on any Chevy site that you can find. We aren't all nimrods.

You may be a guru, but I think you don't know what you are talking about.

SOURCE: Did not pass state inspection (vehicle)

First the fault codes,
U110C is No Fuel Level Bus Message
U0155 is No Cluster Bus Message.
Unfortunatly you have to be able to communicate with the instrument cluster with your scanner to diagnoise and I do not think an aftermarket scanner can do this.

SOURCE: 2003 silverado 1500 4.3 x,

i believe low pressure was around a 42 - 45 psi and high pressure was 54-55 psi. so yes at 24 it was bad. but need to do a full diagnostic to motor, not just a code reader but a full blown $ 110.00 diagnostic, all these fancy gadgets and wires hook to everything but the spare tire. pin point what cylinder (s) is or are misfire, when coil pak fires, the fuel inj fires, air mass to fuel ratio, timing, pressures, temp ,what all sensors are reading. when your done with this you will feel like a damn surgeon and want to start operating on the girl. If you really want some answers this is what to do. And be there when they do it,wear safety glasses to look legit and for safety reasons, but ask alot of qustions. you learn and understand more, people always say you have a bad o2 sensor, I say why? cause it worked!!!! if the code says the o2 sensor has a reading isnt that what it is suppose to do, what caused the reading? not the sensor but the excess fuel,to rich to lean well then doesnt that seem like a injector or low spark coil, not enough air? bad filter? the problem isnt the sensors its what causes those sensors to react. HOPE YOU REACH THE SMOOTH SAIL !!!! If you want real answers spend the hundred bucks, i know my yukon xl like the number #s on the phone. you notice i didn't say letters on a typewriter ha.

I have a 2005 Trailblazer 4.2L V6 and the speedometer quit working. Is it a cable? sensor?

Doesn't have a cable , the gauge has a step motor ! GM had bad step motors 2003 to 2006 . Does the vehicle shift OK ? The real way to diagnose this problem would be like we do it at the dealer . Hooking up factory Tech 2 scan tool an commanding the speedo gauge with bi- directional control through the scan tool , seeing if the PCM - engine computer is receiving the proper data from the VSS - vehicle speed sensor . also see what info the instrument cluster is receiving . But i would say it's a safe bet on the stepper motor . Here is a video on replacing the step motor . You can buy new ones at ebay . If you do the repair yourself , mite just as well do all , plus the lights .

I have a 2008 chevy impala flex fuel v6 3.5 I had the code po303 come up. So I changed spark plugs and wires and ignitor coil pack. But still on.

Bummer deal! Disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 seconds or so an reconnect it. This clears the codes and it takes several days for the computer to relearn. Then see if a code lite come on and check that out, if so. Did you gap the plugs properly? too wide or too narrow will trigger a code. A dirty combustion area results from your problem. I always use the product treatment at this web page to be sure its not residues causing your problem in one area or another. Hope this helps.

Hello! This is actually a pretty common issue on the '04's - and I've had it myself. There was a TSB put out about it, in fact. Here is the info from the TSB:

Subject: Speedometer Erratic Movement, Fuel Gauge Does Not Go to Full After FIlling, Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Reads Hot and Coolant Temperature Light Illuminates (Reprogram IPC) #05-08-49-003A - (04/18/2005)

Models: 2004 Pontiac GTO Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint 4L296011
Condition Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
• Speedometer jumps erratically. Gauge may go up to 200 MPH or not return to zero. • Fuel gauge does not move off empty when tank is full. • Engine coolant temperature gauge reads hot and coolant temperature light illuminates. These conditions may be intermittent.
Correction Technicians are to reprogram the IPC with an updated software calibration. This new service calibration was released with TIS satellite data update version 1.0 available January 10, 2005. As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.
Important: Vehicles built after the VIN breakpoint must have the IPC replaced to correct these conditions.
Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under warranty, use:
Labor Operation
Labor Time
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) -- Reprogram
0.4 hr

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
