First make and model would be a big help .check to see if you you have power to ingnition sys if so check to see if spark plugs are firing if all checks out proceed to oil pressure sending unit if you have no spark check crankshaft sensor this will get you closer to finding out trouble and by the way new fuel pumps can go bad just a thought

SOURCE: no power to fuel pump. I have power up to the circuit opening relay.

I am not positive how the electronics are routed on a later model truck but I had this same problem on my 89' with a 22re. It turned out that the oil pressure sending unit was in the fuel pump circuit so as to not allow the engine to start with no oil pressure. I changed my sending unit and the truck fired right off. Hope this helps.

the 4wd light does not come on but the vehicle feels like it is in 4wd, is there a electrical switch that controls this issue ie; the hubs don't lock in.

Dont have power to the fuel pump what can ido is the relay or is the fuel pump

this is based on a 2.2 from my tech data. Along the line it goes fuel pump m12 then ignition main curcuit relay then engine control relay then to a 5 amp fuse. my bets are the 5 amp fuse. if you need any more tech data just let me know. please leave me a comment and a thumbs up.... cheers

WHERE IS THE FUEL PUMP RELAY LOCATED! I CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL FILTER BUT I CAN NOT FIND THE RELAY 1988 ELDORADO. I AM NOT GETTING ANY FUEL IN TO THE CARB

Am working on the same problem. Have narrowed it down to a couple of things. The primer curcuit on my '88 is not work off the computer it will not prime the fuel system. Have found away around that by putting in a new relay off the starter line. The main problem though is that the check valve in the fuel pump is shot and allows all the fuel to drain back into the tank. It takes too much time to get the fuel preasure up if the fuel system is completely empty. Am going to replace the fuel pump and see what happens. The fuel pump relay is located under the glove box, have not found diagram map of the relays there, there are 10 there. If you need a wiring diagram for your car, go to autozone, can print off a wiring diagram there. Good luck.

Switched to rear tank pump wasn't running. removed rear fuel pump. switched to front tank and started ran and stopped won't start. rear pump is off and the lines are open.

jump over relay on the ground side of relay with the ign. on because of the start & run curcuit in the computer activates the fuel pump relay. then you can hear the pumps.

New fuel pump, two weeks later it wont work

If there is power to the pump, and it's not running, you have a faulty pump, and should be able to get a refund. Check your fuse and relay if there is no power.
