another engineers wet dream. think of it this way . what is normally in the intake when the engine is running.. answer vacume, hence the regulator gets its vacume without a hose connected to it as its already in a full time vacume chamber.no hose required . ps be carefull to seat the regulator and o rings securely into the housing befor you reattach the secureing metal clip.

Sounds like you need to take an air hose and blow threw it and then clean your intake manifold with the Seafoam intake it is a foam cleaner it works great i suggest you clean it 2 times 1 to get rid of build up second to clean the surface. We tend to service our engine, oil , Fuel filters but we forget our intake manifold it is vital to engine performance.Remember to rate my solution and leave testimonial this is how i earn my achievements here on FixYa Thanks in advance
