Note the security indicator while attempting to start the vehicle.
The indicator light is ON and OFF after approximately 5 seconds.

Engine won't crank ? What happens when you turn the key to the start position ? The engine spins but doesn't start an run or nothing happens . A no crank - no start or engine cranks but won't start an run .
There is no safety shut off switch .First off you say it still won't crank , I'm assuming you mean it won't start an run . If you turn the key to the start position an the engine spins ,that is referred to as the engine cranks . You have a no crank - no start or engine cranks - no start . A fuel pump would have nothing to do with a no - crank -no start problem . If the engine is cranking an not starting check for spark at spark plugs . Is there a security light lit on the instrument cluster ? a anti-theft system problem will cause a crank - no start problem . A short on the five volt reference circuit will cause a crank - no start . A shorted map sensor , shorted TP - throttle position sensor

Like is the anti-theft light flashing when you try to crank over the engine ? Does the starter solenoid click when trying to crank over the engine ? ETC......An if the engine does crank over is there spark at the coils ? Does it have fuel pressure ? Does it have engine compression ?

Long Crank Time Due To Possible Contact Of Camshaft Sensor To Camshaft Gear
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves the replacement of the engine camshaft sensor.
MODELS:
2007 (JK) Wrangler
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 3.8L engine (sales code
EGT).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience one of the following conditions:
a). Long engine crank time.
b). Two engine start attempts prior to engine starting.
c). Due to the “TIP Start Feature” on automatic transmission equipped vehicles, once the
ignition key / switch has been released from the “START” position, the starter may stay
engaged for up to 10 seconds while the engine attempts to start.
The above conditions may be due to the position of the camshaft sensor to the camshaft
gear. The sensor spacer gasket may have come loose during engine assembly and
caused the camshaft sensor to be adjusted too close or in contact with the camshaft gear.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the above condition is present perform the Repair Procedure.
