How would your engine get fuel, if it was able to
run, if the fuel pump was not on all the time the

95 Isuzu p/u fuel pump runs with key in the start position, but fuel pump does not run with key in the on position

The fuel pump only runs when the engine is being cranked or of course is running, it is shut off after about 1 second in the run only position.

Why the fuel pump don't run and the relay don't click when i turn the key on?

If you can't hear your fuel pump priming then either, the pump needs replacing or the relay. If you replace the relay and you still don't hear the pump prime then it's the fuel pump.

'93 Ford Probe Fuel Pump Collision Switch released

You must add at least three gallons of gas/petrol so the electric pump will prime properly. Be aware that when you run out of fuel/petrol you can damage the pump, the tiny fuel tank mounted pump requires the fuel it runs in for cooling and lubrication, so when you run out of gas it is damaged to some degree, this shortens the life of the pump and in some cases on high mileage cars (or cars that are run out of gas on a regular basis) the pump may not restart. The reset fuel pump button is only activated by a vehicle crash exceeding 3 times the force of gravity, so running out of fuel doesn't trip that switch.

Could it be fuel pump does not have enough power

if the car was running just not enough power why would you change the fuel relay as the pump is running unless you mean fuel filter.now you could have a fuel pump problem if its not able to run at the pressure it was designed to run.check the fuel volume as well.if the pump is running at the proper pressure the volume can be low and not supply enough fuel volume for the car to run at an and all thottle demands.another thing to check is the exhaust sytem being plugged up.just some things to check

Fuel pump runs constantly with key on engine off. pulled fuel pump relay and fp fuse on firewall and pump still runs and engine will run. pulled guage fuse in dash and pump quits. reconnect fuel pump fuse...

Gauge fuse runs a fuel module that is installed to correct vapor lock. This module is what is running the pump. This module, called the hot fuel module is mounted on the passenger side behind the dash above the blower motor.

The fuel pump dont stop

Hi! The fuel pump is designed to run continuously as long as the ECM receives data that the engine is running. Excess fuel is passed back to the fuel tank.

The fuel pump is also designed to power up for 2-5 seconds when the ignition is turned to "RUN" to pressurize the fuel rail.

If your fuel pump runs continuously when the car is turned off, it may be a "stuck" fuel pump relay.

96 Probe GT. Fuel pump doesn't run when it should.

Does your car run? Some fuel pumps run quiet so you will need to get your ear close to the gas tank and have someone turn on the ignition. The pumps only run about 3 seconds when the ignition is turn on without starting the engine.

Truck runs fine, then dies when hot,the problem does not happen all the time, replaced fuel pump same problem, noticed fuel pump runs all the time now

wrong fuel pump? wires crossed, fuel pump should run when car is on, this is what keeps it running, maybe fuel pump is louder than original and you notice it more. Check your fuel filter. Get a tune up........
