Lost wheel lock

if you go to the dealer they can find what style lock nut socket you need and order it for you if you want to keep the system.or you can go to a shop and have them remove the lock nuts and replace them with regular wheel nuts.

I have a 2002 A4 with a flat tyre but can't take the wheel off because i have lost the ati-theft wheel nut adapter and do not know the code number to replace it. How can I get the wheel off?

Th is all depends on the type of lock, we have a lock remover kit and its diffrent size sockets for all size locks and you bang it over the lock with a hammmer and then use an impact gun to remove it, you may have to go to a tire shop they usaully have them, also i have seen these lock roll around and get into funny places, under spare , in back of glove box, left on a lock on the wheel behind the cover, under the trunk mat, etc, good day.

My jag was purchased used and there is no key for the wheel locks. I need help in finding out who manufactured the locks. Dealer does not know.

It will be cheaper to go to a tyre shop where any good outlet has special tools to destructively remove locking wheel nuts without the key. Then just buy a new set of locking wheel nuts to replace them with. Even if you knew who manufactured them you'd need the pattern number and proof of ownership and you'd find that a spare key often costs more than a complete new set of locking nuts.

You can buy so called "universal" locking wheel nut removers yourself quite cheaply on ebay, but they often fail to work and can damage your wheels and then leave the nut far harder to remove using the correct and expensive trade-only tools.

What wrench is needed to remove the 2002 GTI lug nuts?

they are the locking wheel nuts(lugs)and you will need a key(not a hex allen key)to remove them.if you look close you will see that the sides are not equal.
I use a nut spilitter or an old socket hammered onto the nut to remove it,means replacements but next time you buy a car check to make sure you have the radio code and the wheel nut key.

How do you remove the nut on the wheel that is some sort of security lock

If you have wheel locks, you will need the wheel lock key that came with it. It looks like a round thing that goes on the end of the lug nut wrench. If you lost the key, you can try and get another one that matches from the manufacturer, but if you can't you will have to have it professionally removed.

Wheel lock key

As long as you know the key number, go back to your dealer.

If you don't know the number then you will have to get them all removed by professional ie the dealer or a tyre centre and buy a new set of bolts/nuts.
