2004 dodge stratus spark plug gap - 2004 Dodge Stratus

I believe the factory originals are champion brand, and would have been platinum, but it should still run decent with the coppers. The only thing I can think of is they are of the wrong gap. Copper plugs do not come pre- gapped at all and need to be done by installer. The gap for your stratus, if it's a 4 cylinder is .050. Wrong gap will cause no power and shaking. Correct champion number in copper is #443, and should say that on the box/plug.

Change distributer cap or clean inside. Ign module cud hav issues. Injectors also. Disconnect computer and clean the plug then see if it reboots

Check your gaps in your plugs and check firing order then you might wanna check that the engine is in time.

It may run poorly but it would run. Have the system scanned for fault codes.

Instead of explaining it, Go to Youtube and type in how to change spark plugs. This will give you a view and pictures. When you purchase your new plugs be sure to have your auto info such as year , make , model , engine size. Plus ask them what is the GAP measurement. They do sell plugs that don't require gap. Plugs, Gap tool, anti-seize grease (small packet) $.99. Whatever you do, don't forget the grease, it keeps your plugs from being welded in the head and alot easier to remove. Good Luck

could be a fuel problem like a plugged injector

using a spark plug spanner take each plug out in turncheck the gap on the new one with feeler gauge and install its a good idear to do it one at a time so you wont get the ht leads mixeed up

AutoZone's online specifications page gives this message..."Refer to the underhood emissions label for specific spark plug gap information" They go on to say..."Caution! Gap is not adjustable on certain plug brands"
