Does it turn over really fast, like no compression, free wheeling? If so, timing belt broke. If it has a slight drag, then have the codes read. Could be crank sensor, ignition module, fuel pump.

Car not firing

Most likely the valves were bent.
When you attempt to start the motor does it turns over a bit fast and will not sound quit right - Not even attempt to spark up or fire up.
Check engine cylinder compression. The valves were bent when the belt broke.
you will
1. check compression (and when it fails)
2. decide to have the head checked and if possible rebuilt (use new head bolts)
or
3. Look for and buy a low milage used motor
or
4. Look for a rebuilt head

My 2003 sunfire wont start its getting fire and gas and it turns but wont start why

Please consider following matters:
1. Ignition. Blue color fire is the the best ignition power 2. Gas. Check your fuel filter and injections 3. Compression. Combustion chambers should have enough compression to start the engine. Does your car lost its compression? Is the car has blue smoke on exhaust muffler ? Do you need top up oil regularly? All these things show your car has problem with compression.

Replaced timing chain on a toyota corolla vvti engine 3zz and is blowing compression out instead of sucking air inside carburettors

seems like the engine isn't timed right, either the timing marks aren't lined up or if there is a distributor it isn't in time with the crank and cam
