SOURCE: 94 Nissan Truck KA25E engine

You most likely need to replace said Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS). If you disconnect this sensor, the ECM uses other sensor data to "calculate" fuel delivery. Problem is, this method is not good for real time- meaning that when you hit the gas pedal, the ECM has to calculate the fuel needed and the engine doesn't rev up right, causing more of a driveability issue.

I've replaced quite a few of these sensors. Be sure to buy a new Nissan air filter when you buy the new MAFS. Even if you do the work, Nissan will want to see that should you have a parts warranty (12 months/ 12,000 miles) claim. No air filter replacement (with a Nissan part) = no warranty coverage.

This is not the most accurate test to use to check the operation of a MAFS, but it usually gives you an idea if you're in the right area- idle smooths when disconnected usually means you are in the right area.

Hope this is helpful!!

SOURCE: head gasket 'blown' on 94 Nissan Cefiro, 2.5L, 24

if you get a haynes repair manual and follow it step by step everything should go fine. or clintons. if you have questions about what its telling you to do then that would be a good thing to ask. the problem is there are alot of different designs for engines and it could be affected and it could not be. but if your not sure you definitly need a repair manual. it would tell you everything but it will guide you in the right direction

I have brake fluid leaking, when i press the brakes, out of the bottom of what i think is the height sensing proportioning valve

it is a load proportioning valve that adjusts the proportion of brake pressure according to the load on the vehicle
best to get a new unit and replace it then bleed the air out of the brakes

Where is proportioning valve located

The proportioning valve is located on the passenger side near the firewall. It's attached the ABS Module. It will look like a block of aluminum with 4 metal brake lines attached. You can see it clearly by lifting the hood, leaning in the engine compartment near the passenger strut mount.

98 dodge caravan rear wheel locked up

That would likely be caused by the ABS brake hydraulic control unit leaking pressure to the rear brake caliper, not the proporting valve..

Have a 94' chevy pickup. When I press on brake pedal, left front always grabs 1st, then left, but it stops the truck. Rotors & pads are in good shape. Had differential valve replaced about 2-1/2 yrs...

Flush the system and look for contaminants. If there is a bleed on the proportioning valve, also flush there. If there are contaminants, your master may need to be replaced. If not, maybe the proportioning valve has failed again.

84 Nissan 720 rear brake lock-up

Was the proportion valve and mater cylinder replaced? The problem most likely is a bad proportion valve it doesn't allow the fluid to return to the master and therefore stays in the system and locks-up the brakes.
