give it a boost and see if that works... i presume it's not cranking over at all... those i believe have a seperate starter relay mouted on the side fenderwell... is the noise coming from that... all try tapping the starter with a hammer when someone turns the key

Check the Battery and Connections. Not a lot of Guess work on the Old Mustangs. You may need to Clean the Cables to the Battery, Could be a Little Corroded. Please rate my Response, I need all the Help that I can get! Thanks!

Have the Battery checked out, If it is ok, It will be Your Starter Causing this Problem.

    They Sure Will.

You Could also try a Long Screw Driver and see if you can Cross start the Starter with it.

Right Between the Screws Coming out of the Starter Solinoid, Just touch one and swivel over to the Other one Fast. It will spark and engage the Starter. If it is good it will Start.

Possibly an ignition module or crank sensor problem. These are the two most common stalling electronics that will cause a stall when they get warm/hot and will then continue to operate once cooled down

Silverado won't start without starting fluid

Check your fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with the key on and engine off.Sound like you might have a weak fuel pump.

My BMW 520i starts up when cold but when it's warmed up and I turn engine off it won't start it's a 1997 straight six tiptronic whats causing this?

If the engine cranks but fails to fire, the car may be flooding due to a failed temperature sensor. There are several, but the most likely problem would be the water temperature sensor.
If the engine fails to crank when hot, the starter motor is failing and will need to be replaced.

I have a 66 mustang with the 200 straight 6 in it. my carb is an autolite 1100 and when i do a cold start on it my choke plate isnt closing. im setting it by pressing the petal to the floor which is...

loosen the screws on the side of the choke (do this when the engine is cold) and rotate the housing in the direction so that the plate closes-don't crank it too tight, just enough so that it is lightly closed. When you start it, as it warms up and you blip the throttle, the tension from the bimetal spring that closes the choke will lessen, and it'll end up streight-up when the car is warmed up.

Vaccum Line problems?... or Warped head?

I would check the coil, when it stalls, check to see if you have spark at the plugs. I don't think a warped head would cause that problem.
