Question about 2005 Chrysler 300
Anti-theft activated by removing battery cable
Went out to start my 2006 300 the anti theft is on and won't allow it to turn over. Now what do I do with paying hundreds to reset it. This is such a pain especially in the heat and with a baby

Verify around the steering column, if you see a square black box with a big plug into it, disconect the plug and try to start the car.

yes. If the rack is not held ,when you try to turn the rod you could bend the rack. With the pin out it doesn't take much to hold the rack, loosen the end with the rack "turned " so the rack is retracted into the housing, not sticking way out .

Testimonial: "Thanks a bunch"
With out being able to see it sounds like you have a misadjusted or broken park lock cable. there is a cable that locks shifter in park unless Brake pedal is depressed. So if you are pressing the brake and can not shift into a gear. that would be the first place I would check
