You cannot! They are supposed to be replaced at 65000 to 85000 miles depending on the car they are installed on. They might go bad sooner if you use a fuel additive.

Get the o2 sensor checked. The o2 sensor before and after catalytic converter. Also check the fuel pump relay in the engine compartment fuse box under hood.Try cleaning the sensor, then check. If its getting to much fuel.then it can be problem with o2 sensor.Or fuel pressure regulator.Regulator is checked ok, so get the o2 sensor checked and replaced.----------------

I have a 1997 Bravada that has a bad oxygen censor and a bad caytalytic converter. Would both of these problems cause a misfire, and , wich sensor is in bank 2

Yes they can surely cause an misfire.

I cannot understand your statement "wich sensor is in bank 2"

If i am not wrong you are asking which sensor is present in bank 2 .

The 4th O2 sensor is located in bank 2

O2 and oxygen sensor are the same thing and depending on make model and motor there can be anywhere between 1 and 4 O2 sensors on your car they are located in the exhaust pipe or exhaust manifold before catalytic converter also might be one behind converter

Have an 03 silverado needs new o2 censor where are the sensors located? somebody told me there are 7 sensors is this right?

O2 CENSOR IS LOCATED ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THAY HARD TO REACH AND HARD TO GET OFF SOMETIMES. I HAVE A PRO CHANGE MINE. AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY HAVE THEM CHECK/CHANGE THE CATYLIC CONVERTER, SINCE IT IS PROBABLY WHY YOU NEED AN O2 CENSOR

02 censor

Your car should have two O2 sensors. One will be located after your catalytic converter. The other one should be located before your catalytic converter somewhere between your headers and your cat. Rarely, on some vehicles, there's a 3rd O2 sensor which is located also somewhere between the catalytic converter and the headers.

2001 chevy blazer multi cyl misfire, fuel trim @ -30, all inj seem to drop about 5psi on inj balance test, o2 sensors switching

It sounds like it is running rich - possible injector poppets hanging open. Clean the injectors - You need to have a pressurized fuel injection done (which requires special tools). You will want to remove the mass air flow censor from the induction tube; remove the four torque bit screws; seperate two metal ends from plastic piece and clean the little wires on the censor with brake clean and used compressed air to dry.

O2 censor

You would use an oxygen censor socket to repair that. You can buy one for pretty cheap or you can rent one from the parts house. You'll want to disconnect the electrical connection to the O2 censor, slip the socket over it (using the appropriate ratchet) and take it off. You can also use a 7/8 inch wrench on most cars if you can get it in there.
