WHEN YOU INSERT GAS NOZZLE IN CAR

When I go to fill gas tank in pontiac g6 2008 is there supposed to be a little silver disk where you insert nozzle into tank. Maybe Im imagining this, but I thought one was there. Now there's just an open hole.
Thanks

There is supposed to be one there. If you noticed it before, it might be stuck in open position, or broke off, and is now in the gas tank.

Can't put gas in my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

I doubt it.
Usually the problem is a blockage in the fill tube, sometimes the vent for the tank is not working. But there are several components to the EVAP system.
I would check the filler tube first.

When putting gas in my car (2004 pontiac grand prix, 3.8) the gas pump keeps shutting off like my car is full when its not. Any suggestion to what that means?

This is not a bad thing. You have a very tight emissions system. You know your car at this point better than anyone else. You can try this, don't put the gas nozzle very tight into the gas filler. Put the nozzle into your tank and just pull it out a fraction of an inch. This will give the fuel tank the ability to BREATH while your filling the tank .This should solve your problem. GOOD LUCK.

All vehicles now have an evap system that closes off your fuel tank vents when you are driving. If this fails, you will get this condition.
Have your "vent solenoid" checked out!

How many miles per gallon does my pontiac get?

Fill the gas tank till the filler nozzle clicks

Zero the trip meter

Drive the car for say 100 miles

Fill up the tank again until the nozzle goes click again

Take a note of the number of gallons you put in divide that number into 100

So 5 gallons divided into 100 will tell you that the car is doing 20 mpg

if you have added 4 Gallons and 3 pints then divide the 100 by 4.40 which gives you 22.73mpg

I can't put gas in my car without the pump shutting off every five seconds. I think the metal flap where you put the gas pump into the car fell into the line. what can i do to get it out?

On most modern gas pumps there is a sensor in the tip of the nozzle. When it feels to much pressure or liquid it shuts the pump off. When you are filling your tank you need to leave a little room for air to come out. Try to not put the nozzle in as far and see if that will work. You will only need to leave a little bit of room. Hope it helps!

I starting to have trouble pumping gas in my car

Try to only insert the nozzle a short ways into your tank. Sometimes the air excaping from your gas tank can make the gas splash back to the nozzle. This will cause the pump to stop, so just try not to insert it to deep and that should FixYa.
