Does this cause much damage to the engine when it happens
No, Not Usually. That is why they Break most of the Time. To keep the Motor from Causing any Further Damage to Itself. Just get it Replaced and the Timing Reset and it Should be Fine. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help that I can get! Thanks!
