Check the remote positive battery terminal connection. It's located on the driver's side of the engine bay just in front of the battery and just before the strut tower on that side. A lot of times, the terminal becomes loose and causes the issue that you've described. Fully remove the terminal and inspect it underneath. I've seen several of these that metled the plastic around the terminal so badly from that they stopped making good contact with the actual post. Being loose causes a lot of resistance and heat(which will eventually melt the plastic).

No you don't. When you buy the parts there should be a bolt in each box. With the tires on the ground. Look at the lower control arms with a rubber bushing on the end. You will see a bolt hole in the middle of the bushing. Put the bolt in from the bottom and screw it in. This will help keep it compressed. After that jack the car and remove the tire. Then remove the two bolts up top, then the one on the bottom. Then remove the one on the strut. And install in the reverse order. Will be a good idea to replace the upper strut plate while your in there. Don't forget to remove the retainer bolt when your tire and the car is down. Let me know if any other help is needed. I own the same car just a year younger.

SOURCE: 1995 buick regal firing order
Your firing order is dependant on the engine you have. If the 8th letter in your Vin is an "M" then the engine is a 3.1 liter V-6, and the firing order is this:
If your 8th Letter is an "L" then you hAVE A 3.8 liter V-6 and then the firing order is this one below:
1995 Buick Regal
3.8 liter V-6 VIN "L"
if you are not sure what you have, then look at your registration to view your VIN and to figure out what engine is in your vehicle.
