Question about 1993 Honda Civic 4 Door
I have a 1.6 single cam v-tec which is the si model it idles around 3,000 rpm's untill it warms up and then it drops to 1,500 2,000 i have no check engine lights and when i unplug the map sensor it idles rough and the check engine light comes on same whit the other sensor on the back of the thorttle body i was told it was the tps sensor and the ide air control valve but every mechanic i go to tells me somthing different i'm really upset can you help
The person that told u that it was the tps and idle air they we're completely right!! The tps sensor is what makes it do that. If you pull the air intake of there's 2 holes on the throttle body. Plug one of the off with your finger while the engine is idling high and it should come down mine was the top hole. If it does go down just get a new tps sensor. and the back sensor on the intake to be safe. or the ghetto way is to plug the hole off, not my sugestion.
