Are you saying the passenger light works? If they both do not work, it might be your fuse. If only one works and the bulb and fuse are good, you may have a bad wire. It could point back to the switch, but usually if that is bad, the lights won't turn on.

Head lights turn off and come back on on their own!!!!!

There is a short in the power wire to the headlights from the headlight switch. The internal circuit breaker in the headlight switch is overheating and shutting them down, until it cools off.

1990 Jeep Wrangler Problem:

1990 Jeep Wrangler. Driving with lights on for 10 - 15 minutes. First the dash lights go out followed by the headlight and tail lights. If you pull the dimmer switch back (like you would to flash your brights at someone) the head lights will come on and as long as you continue to pull back on the dimmer switch the head lights will stay on bright.
