Battery is dead try to pair of jumper cables connected the same way as a single jumper cable this increases the cross sectional area of the wire causing more current flow

If you're not hearing a click from the starter check for a starter relay. May be burned out! DO you hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key on? If not something might have triggered your security system and locked you out!

SOURCE: started with fog lights on cars off.got a jump cause the battery was dead. just makes clicking sound from starter.

seems your battery has already been discharged by the fog lamp! recharge or buy a new one, but you should fix first the fog lamp before hooking your battery! check for stuck -up relay!

Have you had the battery changed since you had the car. Have that checked for a full charge and no dead cells. Always have the air-conditioning completely off when starting the car. The starter takes a lot of amps to turn over and having the AC on doesn't help.

and another reason is the code didn't clear out completely. this tool can help you test the code.

How far are you, Felicia? Two solenoids, true? One for one direction, one for the other direction? Or four solenoids? How much of it is connected, how much still needs to be connected?

Big negative wire to the motor goes to two solenoids, we'll call them A and B. Big positive goes to the other two solenoids, we'll call them C and D.

Battery negative (ground) goes to A and C, battery positive (hot) goes to B and D.

Switch wire one direction goes to A and D, switch wire the other direction goes to B and C.

Recheck your connections from deck to "non-sub" speakers. Are you using an adapter from deck to vehicle wiring harness OR are all wires individually connected?

My rear passenger speaker wires don't work, I have connected 3 different speakers to them none of them work but those 3 speakers work when they are hooked up to different connections.

have you tried connecting directly to the radio? I would suspect a broken wire or a bad fader control or switch depending on the model.

I'm trying to hook up a cd player in a recently boughten 94 probe. I have all the wires set up besides the red power wire.. I can't find it. Could I connect an amp power wire from battery to cd...

Yes you will want a fuse. Inline would be sufficient.

Also you would want wire thicker than speaker wire. I would say about 10-12gauge.

Clarion stereo in1997 mercury marquis wiring hook up to amplifer

make sure the speaker wires in the car do not have one side grounded.the output on the clarion is a floating output and cannot be grounded.the best solution is to look at the wiring on each of the speakers, and match them out to the ones on the clarion.the most common colr code is white front left, gray front right green rear left and purple rear right.each speaker has a plus and minus.mixing them up will result in the speakers being out of phase and result in poor bass performance.i would wire the wires directly to the clarion using crimp connectors.the first thing i would do is power up the stereo out of the car to 12 volts, and using a speaker make sure you have sound coming out.the yellow wire which is the clock/memory is a must to be connected to constant 12 volts or no sound can result

I replaced the cd player in my accord, the one before worked when i took it out, the radio i put in works as well tested it with hot and ground wires and a speaker to every terminal before i hooked it up...

On many cars there is an exterior amp that the sound goes through before it is sent to the speakers. If the remote turn on wire isnt connected after you take your previous cd player out then the amp wont know when to turn on and therefore no sound will come from your speakers although your cd player is doing its job.
