Have there been complaints of injuries caused by sharp metal on bottom of front passenger door

No. Get something and grind or cut it off. You have no idea how many sharp pieces are on a car.

My car cuts off when I accelerate and it's noise

wow, no year, now that makes this hard.

find noise first. noise is like a warning, bad things to come.!

never ever, ignore noise. or injury or $$$$ parts break.

find the noise, if you cant (i cant hear it) then get someone who can

all ASE certified auto technicians can. get one in the loop.

cuts off can be 50 things wrong, i have the list. but is of no help.

in pure physics it\'s: (and a simple tests for each , do ask....)

Cuts off, I\'ll assume that its stalling> not bogging , not misfiring?

STALLS (engine dies) and my right foot cant save it???? key question.

never doing that 60,000 mile interval tuneup? really?

1: lost 12vdc power to EFI systems. (fuel and spark magic)

2: lost compression. on 1 or more cylinder or all are way below 150psi.

3: weak or bad spark. (tune up)

4: bad fueling (weak or too much)

5: EGR STICKING, (Its, checked and cleaned at the 60k)

6: ISC sticking, closed as you shift or stop car. stalls.

really #5 and 6 are #4 but are common fails to all gas engines.

do explain "cuts off", fully, do find the noise using your stereoscopic

hearing gift from our creator. use it to find LOCATION.

but do realize that doing so, is risky, (in harms way)

i use an electronic stethoscope ($50) to find all sources of noise.

(99%) with zero risk.

Most good FSM cover finding noise. but is limited. (brief)

here is one page that shows ways and means.

here is the free fsm

http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

here is a noise page.

makes noise only moving, is the most risky.

http://www.fixkick.com/NOISE.html

try to make this noise, parked, by racing the engine,

use 2 persons, for max safety.

no loose clothing, no hats, no ties, no long sleeves.

loose clothing can catch an pull you in to harms way...... !!!!!

While driving steering wheel locked up and cute off

Sounds like the low amount of oil caused serious engine damage. It won't be a cheap fix.

Grinding/metal dragging on ground noise only when car is in drive or reverse and moving, no noise if brake is on, looked under the car and nothing is hanging down

does the noise go away as you brake? if so your brakes need replacing either pads or discs, if you look at the discs and they seem scored or glazed then the pads are worn to bare metal and discs may need machining as well as new pads.

When i move the car, it grinds badly and feels like in wheels, its a ford focus. it does it backwards to

Your brake pads or shoes, have worn past the pad lining, and now the steel backing is ginding against your rotor or drum.
You will have to have the brakes inspected.
Please let me know what you find.
