My brake pedal will not budge, and a hissing noise present when running

The stop lights won't go out until the pedal is depressed, as there is a switch which is activated by the pedal.

A hard brake pedal is probably caused by a defective servo. The hissing noise is probably an air leak in the servo.

Switch the engine on, open the bonnet (the hood..) and see if you can locate the hissing - that'll probably be in the brake servo area.

If you don't know what a brake servo looks like here is a generic image:

2001 ford escape makes a hissing and high pitched squealing sound when the brake pedal is released?

You need to have the brakes inspected. This noise is the brake pad wear warning tab hitting the brake rotor.;

I get a hissing sound by my brake peddle when I apply my brakes and it does not go away. When I run the engine and depress the brake peddle and hold it there and turn the engine off the brake peddle...

Your bake booster has failed causing a massive vaccume leak when you apply the brakes. That in turn gives more air to the system so the computer tells it to add more fuel thus causing the rpms to go up. Replace it %99.5 chance that will fix it.

I have a 1994 5.0 mustang with brake peddle soft , will not hold air and a hissing under the car

Brake booster diaphragm is gone resulting in vacuum leak and hence soft brake and hissing sound. Get the brake booster changed, it will be fine.

Hello;
Yoou most likely have a vacuum leak in the line from the booster to the intake. It could be a bad booster or check valve as well.

Brake hissing noise

Sounds like it could well be the brake servo unit.
