Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My 2001 Disco V8 suddenly overheated whilst waiting at traffic lights today. After the 30 seconds the car returned to normal temperature and continues to drive normally!! Is this a warning on the head...

for over heating it is not necessary always that head leakage is the problem, it could be radiator fan not working, first check this with technician, might be the fuse problem. don't worry.

Hi all. what is the likely hood of the dmf to fail on a 02 d4d is it really common, just hit 66000 never towed fsh

this appears to be a common complaint.

Today my 2001 D4D was recovered following what i assumed was a clutch problem. My mechanic diagnosed Dual mass Flywheel failure. Despite the age of the car there are only 58k miles on the clock. From previous posts on the web it would appear that Toyota did issue some recall type notice on these particular models.

Car appears to only be running on 3 cylinders, went to change the plugs today and one of the plugs is completely covered in oil. The car has covered 89000 miles with fsh.

is the plug lead ok if it is you may have a ring problem in the engine, does the car use oil if so its starting to look like worn engine even though it should be fine with that mileage, when you put in a new plug does it come good for a while?

When do i need to change a timing belt on a 1995 1.9td umwelt vw passat estate it has done 140000 miles with fsh should it be due soon?

Most US cars recommend change at 60,000 miles. I would say that you have gotten your money's worth out of the original belt. Some engines suffer piston and valve damage if the belt breaks.

Gearbox feels like it slips.

You indicated 1st gear. Is this a manual or automatic - as you didn't state that.

What do you mean by "it feels like its going to fall out"? What are the symptoms?

Have you check the level of transmission fluid?

Can the transmission be serviced or is it one of thos "life-time fills"? If it can be serviced and its an automatic, the first thing I would do is check the level of fluid. If its a manual transmission, I would do the same thing, but it would most likely be the clutch or throw-out bearing.

Merc e 320 cdi - failure to start

It is believed that the Tomtom lead, which was permanently plugged in to the cigarette lighter, has caused the battery to drain, when the engine is not running. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
