Hello Joe,
If the engine has over heated it may have blown the head gasket, you say the engine noise changed and you have power loss, get a mechanic to check it and try not to drive it

My coolant isnt leaving the reservoir tank and now my car is blowing smoke of the tail pipe and it seem to be blow heat into the car

When the engine is cold, open the radiator cap and fill with coolant/water mix to top.
Run the engine with your heat on high fan, high heat, wait for the engine to cool again and fill the radiator again. You must get to the point where when you open the radiator cap when it is cold that the radiator is full to the top.

My 99 alero v6 is over heating not leaking ight mite be hoses or thermostat . or head gasket but when it overb heats the smoke comes from the top of the engine

REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF CAR OVER HEATING WHILE IN MOTION.MORE LIKELY ITS THE THERMOSTAT,LOW COOLANT IN RADIATOR OR COOLANT SYSTEM,BAD WATER PUMP,WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE IS LEAKING, WATER PUMP NEEDS REPLACING.CHECK ENGINE OIL,IF OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE YOU HAVE LEAKING HEAD GASKET.IF CAR IN PARK AND OVER HEATS WHILE IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE OR.BANK DRIVE THROUGH COOLANT FAN NOT TURNING ON, BECAUSE THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULTY.CODE SCAN CAR FOR FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY OR FAULTY PCM. CHECK COOLANT FAN FUSE, AND HOT WIRE THE COOLANT FAN TO MAKE SURE ITS WORKING.IF COOLANT FAN DONT WORK WHEN HOT WIRED. COOLANT FAN NEEDS REPLACING. REPLACE BOTH RADIATOR HOSES, REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.BUY NEW COOLANT ADD 50/50 WATER AND COOLANT.IF ENGINE OIL HAS ANTIFREEZE IN IT.REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER TO KEEP FROM LOCKING UP THE ENGINE.GET CAR FIX.DONT KEEP DRIVING IF IT KEEP OVER HEATING,ENGINE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.I HOPE INFORMATION I GAVE YOU WILL FIX PROBLEM.PROBLEM COULD BE LEAKING RADIATOR HOSES BUT CHANGE THERMOSTAT THATS FIRST THING I WOULD CHANGE BECAUSE IF IT CLOSED, ENGINE WILL OVER HEAT AND CRACK CYLINDER HEAD OR CRACK PISTON, COOLANT NEED TO CIRCULATE THROUGH THE ENGINE TO TAKE AWAY THE HEAT FROM ENGINE.

1995 volkswagon golf over heating. Replaced upper and lower radiator hose. Engine cooling fan doesnt kick on. What else should I look for.

I would check the radiator fan switch, it's mounted in the radiator on the driver side of the radiator, you should be able to see it from the engine compartment. Also check the fan relay and fan fuse.

Vw golf 2001. coolant system not working

Your most probable cause for this is because your water valve needs replacement or repairing. Not all cars have a water valve that brings the heated coolant into the heater core unit.

Essentially, the heated coolant is brought from the engine block directly, into a mini radiator that has a fan to blow heated air into your vehicles cabin.

If that valve were clogged, or the switch itself to open up the water valve that blocks the coolant from going into the heater core unit, then you wont be able to get heat from the vents.

ALSO, another reason why your car might also be overheating as well, is you need to check your coolant levels as well to make sure it is fully filled up, if it is, then your thermostat might also need replacement.

good luck with your problem.

My mrk 4 golf gti says its over heating they is water in it there is no water in the oil no oil in the water there is heat coming out of the heaters

it sounds like your thermostat is on its way out get this checked asap. the other thing the fan may not be working correctly or sometimes they work intermitently.

I had a golf a few years back, I had the same fault but it was the radiator had blocked up although there was water in it etc it still overheated until I changed the rad.

To be sure get the thermostat checked and then have the radiator flushed through.

Dan

Radiator fan not cuting in

if you make the contacts on the plug that connects to the thermo switch, does the fan work (both speeds?)?

if not, then it could be the fan control module or a fuse on there.

Over heating and loss of coolant

Need to check your radiator flow, and thermostat, start the engine cold, with radiator cap off, watch for the water in the radiator, when it starts to bubble over let it, keep water hose close, radiator should blow back till the thermostat opens, the water will go down, and add more water if needed, and put the cap back on,,,, if your thermostat is stick closed it will cause over heating......and you may have to have it replaced.
