Sounds like the door lock acturator is bad or the rod to the lock is off

How do I fix the locks for a jeep liberty 2004, the doors work with the remote except the drivers door an the rear swing gate the glass latch works with the remote but the door latch does not open

most likely a wiring problem between internal "radio" receiver and Driver's door lock system. It probably also connects to the other issue. These things are very complicated. I doubt any DIYer could ever figure it out. If not the dealer, perhaps you can find an up to date locksmith to help out.

2006 jeep liberty rear lift glass won;t close

Mine did this too....the latch kept getting stuck. If you put the key in the ignition and unlock the power doors, pull on the gate door (don't open it, just enough to release the latch), and it should come out so the hatch will latch.

Jeep Liberty tailgate won't close.

I would check to see if the latch is in the closed position.Using a screwdriver I would (with the gate open)have someone or your self do the action like you are opening the tail gate and try to move the striker in the door like the door is being pulled open.If the latch moves to the open positin gently try to close the door to see if it latches.

Tail gate door will not unlock and open

remove the switch from the drivers door, use a jumper and a test light.
First test for power going out of the door lock switch when you lock and unlock the gate.
If you have power going to the gate lock then your lock acturator is bad.

2003 Jeep Liberty Limited Glass Latch will not move on own.

Hello and welcome the problem is very simple to resolve first make sure you have battery power turn off vehicle open rear gate unlock doors go to rear gate and look at lock unlock again and push the Grey plastic lock trigger mechanism forward towards front glass close gate unlock again make sure lock is still in the position you just set it to and close glass it will the lock. Normally what happens in this situation was power was removed from your jeep and the rear gate was opened with no power running to electric lock so it stays in a set position you cannot lock the glass because there was no power in the electric lock I will lock once you reset it Hope this help. Remote lock for back doors and rear tail gate door

Actually I found a solution. I remove the lock relay form the fuse panel and placed it back in place. I did not replace it. After doing this they worked. I probably need to replace the relay at some point, but for now that solved the problem. It was hard for me to believe that there is a separate relay for the lock and unlock circuit.

Rear doors and tailgate not unlocking

Remove the fuse panel on the driver side and find the door lock relays remove and replace the relays. Make sure they are seated in the fuse panel. That should fix the problem.
