SOURCE: Replace Fuel Filter on 2006 Chevy Aveo Hatchback

If the fuel filter is mounted inside the fuel tank at the pump it does not need replacing and is a permanent filter. All you have to do it follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine. If the filter is mounted in the fuel line you will find it.

SOURCE: slow water leak from the radiator overflow tank on

I had the same check engine light problem and it was solved with the replacement of the fuel cap. Apparently a common problem with the stock cap.

SOURCE: how do you change an oxygen sensor on 2006 chevy aveo

There is a special socket for O2 sensors which allow the wires to stick out and not get twisted up. It's not expensive and available at most auto parts stores. Disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness, with the plug and then use the socket to remove and replace the new sensor. Re-connect electrical plug.

Are there a lot of problems with chevy 2006 Aveo

Well, Gm couldn't sell any more geo metros so they renamed it the chevy metro. That didn't work too well so they renamed it the chevy aveo. Modern equivalent of the chevette. Research the Daewoo lanos, it is the same car under the skin.

The pump is driven by the timing belt.
There are mounting bolts that hold the pump in place.

Where to put coolant in 98 chevy blazer

IF THERE IS NO RADIATOR CAP ON TOP OF THE RADIATOR, YOU SHOULD SEE A SMALL HOSE TO THE TOP OF THE RADIATOR FOLLOW THAT TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER, THERE WILL BE A WHITE OR YELLOWISH CONTAINER ON THE WHEEL WELL, WITH A CAP ON TOP! IT USUALLY HAS COOLANT PRINTED ON IT! THAT IS WHERE YOU CAN PUT THE COOLANT!

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Check engine light comes on when under 3/4 tank fill it back up and the check engine light shuts off. What could be the problem?

I would first suspect that the gas cap is losing its seal, which happens to take about 1/4 tank of driving perhaps. The fuel tank, like most cars today, works on a closed system with a return and the air above the fuel needs to remain slightly pressurized.

The gas cap was a common problem on the 04 Aveo's; in fact the dealers were fixing them for free then. Tightenning the cap wont imediately turn of the light however because the computer needs to see the engine go through several drive cycle conditions before clearing.

Inpect the cap, the seal and the fuel neck. Perhaps cleaning the cap and seal area if necessary. Look for cracks in the fuel neck. If all looks good and this doesnt work try a new cap either aftermarket or from the dealer.

Why si the check engine light on on my 2006 Chevy

Tighten your fuel cap 3 times to make sure its tightned. don't push it in when you tighten it. Use Fuel injection cleaner like once a month... You may have gotten bad gas. Don't use 100 percet gas. Use gas with ethenol... you get better gas mileage. I go through 3-4 tanks a week. I use the 87 octane and I put Berrymans Fuel injection cleaner in once a week. I don't know about your hesitations though I drive a 5 speed

Slow water leak from the radiator overflow tank on my 2006 Chevy Aveo. Also check engine light comes on and off at will. It can be on for several days in a row and then off for the same.

Is there an obvious hole in the tank? A replacement tank should be readily available and should be easy to replace. If there is a small hole, you might try patching it with epoxy glue.

Next time the check engine light is on, take the car by an auto parts store and ask them to read the OBD II code(s). This is free at most of these stores.

How do I replace the fuel pump on a 2006 chevy avea

I assume you meant a Chevy Aveo.
-Remove the rear seat.
-Remove fuel pump access cover.
-Disconnect electrical connector and fuel outlet line
-Remove lock ring
-Pull out fuel pump assembly from the tank.

Reverse this to install but make sure you clean out the groove where the gasket sits. A lot of the time dirt/debris will get in the groove when you remove the pump and can cause some leakage later on.
