My car starts fine when it is warm out but since it's gotten colder my car will not start. I have bought numerous parts for it and it still won't start. If I go out with a hair dryer or a torch and heat it up under the hood it will start after about 10 or 15 mins of warming up the box under the hood. I have tried crank sensors and everything but nothing will help. Any suggestions??????? Car wont start when it goes below 30 degrees. Had battery changed and still having the problem. What do I so now?

Okay, so it ISN'T the ignition coils or ignition control module on my car. Tried it and it didn't work though it DOES run much, much smoother. It looks like if it isn't the fuel pressure regulator (which I haven't replaced yet since a poster said it wasn't the prob.) then we're down to an electrical problem with maybe a bad fuse or something. Gonna go get some new box fuses this week and hopefully we'll see! :)

My 2005 Saturn Ion doesn't start in -20C temperatures or colder. Same routine each time: I turn the ignition, absolutely nothing. 5 minutes later, I do it again, then I hear a click, but nothing else. 15 minutes later, I do it again and the car starts no problem. I thought that the cold was a must for this to happen, but the other morning when it was -25C (or -13F) the car started! I went to the garage and they said that my cellanoid (sorry if that's spelled wrong) was mildly corroded and to my disgust, they didn't clean it so I can't report as to whether that might have been the problem. Just wondering if anyone thinks it might be.
My car is a 1998 SL2 and this year the same thing happened to me, it sounded like it was a fuel problem and so far we have replaced the pump, filter, regulator, injector rail, and the brain. We have gone through 4 sets of spark plugs because it is burning so rich that it fouls them constantly. My car acted like it was flooding out when I would try to start it and it's only when it's very cold. My mechanic is very frustrated, any suggestions?
