Question about 1998 Mitsubishi Galant

1 Answer

High fuel consumption

Normal 0 I have a Pajero Io which is not listed in your selections below, I chose Galant because it is the first one I came across with the correct year. Fuel consumption has dropped from generally around 11 kpl to 8.4 kpl as indicated by the dashboard computer and confirmed by a reduction in range to around 350 km per tankful. The engine is also now ''hiccupping'' as old style engine fitted with carburettor with dirt in the chamber would have done. It had the hiccups last July which was apparently cured by changing the Oxygen sensor and a coil (don't know which one). Can you help please?
