One thing you may want to check is the primary fuel filter. Under the car on the inside of the frame, in front of the gas tank. They should be replaced every 50,000 miles. If it's full of junk, It may let you start the car, but as soon as a big chunk of stuff plugs up the outlet, the engine will die and won't start again until the junk in the filter settles again. They cost about $10.00. So, it's worth trying. Good luck! I hope I was of some help.

Look at your tachometer, it should be at least 750 RPM...if you have a manual, look for the exact Idle RPM.

If the idle speed is too slow it can cause the engine to quit, sometimes even if you just step on the brake.

Hope this helps.

Hello I would think if you replaced all those components, It would lead me to say its the ignition module, Or Pickup coil, they are both located under the distributor Cap. Fairly Easy to change should take about 15 to 30 minutes depending on you mechanical ability. I sure hope that Helps you out. If not get back and we can do somemore trouble shooting, For spark, fuel pressure. Ect.. Thanks Hopefully that will get you going.

1999 chevy camaro starting problem? help

check that fuel is getting to engine, next, are you getting spark, are your plug wires in the right order, are they all good, you must keep plug wires from touching each other, is the cap & rotor ok, coil ok, fuses ok, do you have a fuel pump relay, if so, check fuse in relay. is the fuel filter new, did any codes get stored ECM, put drygas in fuel tank. are spark plug wires fully engaged onto plugs, don't concern your self with any smoke, let's get the engine started first, CHECK EVERYTHING MENTIONED ABOVE, including fuel filter, air filter should be new also, todays fuel w/ ethanol is garbage, for older cars. is the mass air flow sensor for this car ? aftermarkets are garbage. let me know how things work out, my knowledge is not cheap, but I will help you to avoid egg on your face, KEN

1992 ford f-150 cranks wont start

I believe that motor still uses a distributor cap, rotor, and seperate coil...it has to be no spark...inspect the cap and rotor for hairline cracks...remove the coil, (Connected to center wire on distributor cap) and have tested...Hope this helps.

I have 1992 RS Camaro 25th anniversary I replace spark plug /wires, distributor cap and rotor, oil filters, air filter, vaccum hose, fuel sensor, idle speed sensor, but when Idle the car run good but when I...

First off, some people hate to hear it but if it ran fine before you did this work, go back over what you did.

What fuel sensor and idle speed sonsor did you replace? Could you mean the IAC (Idle Air Control) and TPS (Throttle Posistion Sensor)? Both of these are adjustable. The Pridle in the IAC has to be measured and set to specific length and the TPS has to be set to a specific voltage with the throttle closed.

Now you could also have an EGR that is getting stuck open. The EGR is meant to open when the throttle os open AND at speed. If its got carbon build op causing it to not close all the way then it would die when you lift off the throttle.
