Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

1 Answer

I have a vhevy 1999 chevy blazer and currently my abs doesn't allow me to stop properly at times.Another problem i have been having was hearing a clicking sound like my blinker was on when it wasn't. Also when I'm driving it feels like me wheels are going to break off and sometimes it feels like I'm going to tip over when I make turns. What do you think is wrong with my truck. please help!

i have read ALOT of people saying that they have those same problems, and i myself have a 1999 2 dr chevy blazer, and i have the same problem also. the blinker noise, the strange braking problem (though for me it is only if my wheels are slipping on ice or wet road), and the clicking when you turn, though its only when i turn the wheel all the way to the left or right. I think those are just little quirks you can expect if you buy a blazer, cuz i have read SO many people saying that happens with their blazers.

Look under the front and check the stabilizer bar. It goes from one side to the other.
I think it may be broken. It`s about one inch thick and is bent into a kund of `U` shape.
let me know what you find
good luck

2004 chevy trailblazer brake and abs light stays

on my old 1996 blazer.. the little wire coming from the battery +
positive terminal goes to the ABS.
...this needs to be attached properly.
with some snowPlow setups. its a good idea to disconnect the ABS...so the truck will Stop.
....proper bleeding of the ABS brake circuit may be needed.
..best idea.........see GM dealer.

My wife has ran out of gas several times in our 1999 chevy blazer, nowwhen I try to start it the ingine trys to turn over but it wont start like its not getting gas can you hgive me some suggestions

Possibly burned out the fuel pump. Lay next to the truck with your head by the gas tank. Have your wife turn the key on but not crank the engine. You should hear a light whirring sound of the pump priming and it will last a few seconds and stop. If you don't hear the pump priming, thump the tank near the sending unit as she turn the key. If it runs, you'll need to replace the pump. If it still doesn't run, check the fuse. If the fuse is good and you have a volt meter you can trace the wires to the pump and check for voltage (12) as the key is turned on. If it has voltage, replace the pump.

Abs light on everytime i stop it dies what would cause that on a 95 blazer

The abs light problem is more than likely a faulty speed sensor as for engine cutting off sounds like a low fuel pressure problem.Check the fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with the key on engine off. Also check the fuel pressure regulator for proper operation these regulators are known for causing this problem.

1999 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. Replacing rear pad's,& Bleeding Breaks

have one person in the blazer pumping the brake pedal and then hold to the floor, crack the bleeder then tighten, release pedal, repeat till all air is out one side at a time, if this does not work then your ABS unit is bad witch if u follow your lines from your master cylinder u will find a black box with a motor on it, or the master cylinder itself is bad, it also can cause u to have no pedal, replace the master cylinder first, most likely cheaper.

I had the same problem with my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. If I can remember correctly it was my wheel bearings along with something else. But It cost me 800. But take it to the shop and have them take a look at it.
