What's your problem? my 2004 mercury monterey has eight codes ,po301,poo53,po106,po316,po300,po304,po305,and po306

PO 300 is multiple misfires detected
PO 301, 304, 305, 306 are misfires in cylinders 1,4,5,&6
PO 053 is HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater Resistance
PO 106 is MAP/BARO CKT Range / Perf
PO 316 is Misfire detected 1st 1000 Revs.

On a misfire, I usually push towards the spark plugs, plug wires, and coil packs / distributor coil.
You have PO 106 and PO 053 that need to be inquired about at nearest AutoZone.
They can give you an idea as to what is the problem on these.

Did a MAP sensor **** out and cause all the misfires ?
Did a misfire cause the MAP sensor error?
You see what I'm saying ?...Something caused all the misfires...thinking MAP...but not that familiar with the function of the MAP.

Hope this helps...

I'm having problems with my 2000 pontiac grand am! It is dying sometimes when idling in park, or while at a stop sign/light and sometimes when i begin to accelerate. The car codes were 0446 and 0452(evap...

The Manifold (Air) Absolute Pressure (MAP) and the Evaporative Emission Pressure circuits are not right. The fact that you car keeps cutting out is a further clue. I suspect that the purge and vent valves on the evap system of being open at the wrong times. This would account for the ingress of un-metered air causing leaning of the fuel mix leading to stalling, it would also account for the expected readings from the MAP sensor and would also account for the evap system errors. To check simply disconnect the evap to intake manifold tube and securely block the exposed ends. This should resolve the stalling and avoid further 0105 error codes. If the evap purge valve is at fault then the 0452 should also disappear, however if the evap vent valve is at fault the error code will persist.

Sometimes you can get a PO-457 if you overfill your gas tank.

I have a error code reading of PO 743, Torque converter clutch, what does that mean?

It sounds like the convertor in the exhaust system is partly blocked. You will need to have this checked at a shop. Frankster016
