SOURCE: how can I take off the tail light assembly to replace the bulb for the left tu

Open the trunk. In the left corner where the lamp assembly is, you should see two screw covers that cover the screws holding in the lamp assembly.

Remove these covers to find the screws, and unscrew them to pull the taillamp assembly out of the vehicle body. Disconnect the lamp wiring harness, turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to pull out the socket, revealing the light bulb. Then pull the bulb right out of the socket and replace it with a new bulb.

Replace the socket, turning it clockwise. Replace the taillight assembly. Check that the taillamp assembly tab, located at the bottom of the taillamp assembly, is aligned to the facia bracket before securing the screws.

Screw the taillamp assembly back into the vehicle body and replace the screw covers. Check to make sure the new bulb works properly.

Your owners manual specifies that the rear left turn lamp is a lamp with bulb number 3057K. You should be able to find them at any automotive store or from your dealer. Hope this helps.

Is it too cold at 0 degrees to figure out the real problem?

There may be water in the gas tank. If there is, then a complete fuel system flush is in order and replace the fuel filter. Make sure the engine is warmed up some before you try to start it. Oil doesn't move well inside the engine at that temperature. A block heater and a battery heater , if you don't already have them , should be used.

2011 GMC Terrain turn signals and brake lights don't work

The BCM - body control module turns on this lamps , the BCM has fuse's that supply battery voltage to it . The brake pedal position sensor is a input to the BCM ,as is the turn signal switch . The odds of this being a fuse are astronomical . Having a qualified repair shop that has a professional type scan tool ,one that can read code's in the BCM ,would be the first place to start . Could save hours of diagnostic time . Rather then looking at all the fuses in all fuse boxes . But if you like too , look here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Free wiring diagrams . Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Under system click on lighting , then under subsystem click on stop lamps . Click the search button then the # 3 blue link - stop lamp circuit .
