SOURCE: air bag
If the air bag light is blinking count the blinks for the code. Example.. If the air bag light flashes once and then a short pause and then two blinks you would have a code 12. and so on. If it just stays on you will need to take it into a repair shop and get it checked. My best guess without looking at it would be that the clockspring is not working properly. Most of the time when the clockspring goes out other things stop working like the horn or cruise control or something that is on the steering wheel. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Air bag light always on
There is a fault in the Restraint/Air bag system , this is something that you cannot do alone you will have to take it to the Dealer or a Mechanic that has the proper diagnostic software for the vehicle to have the code cleared or determine why the light is on.

SOURCE: air bag sensors light on
There may not be a sensor in that very location where the damage is but it may have been enough to trigger at least one sensor. The thing to do would have a shop hook up a scanner and see why the light is on instead of replacing sensors. Usually it takes more force to trigger a sensor inside the car than it does to trigger and outside sensor. And at least two sensors need to trigger before an airbag is deployed.
