Question about 1998 Mercury Sable
I have a Mercury Sable 1998. The radio only has a cassette, and an optional cd changer. I was wondering if it was even possible to hard wire an ipod hook up using the cd changer input on the radio. This way, I don't have to worry about trying to install a brand new radio, because it is also part of the temperature controls.
Also, if there is anywhere that I can go to ask about this kind of job, sudjestions would be appreciated.
I'm afraid not. The best advice I can give you is to get a Radio Tuner Adapter for your I-pod. Most prople will tell you to use a Cassette adapter, and this is fine. However it sounds like you want the best sound you can get from your I-pod. The tuner adapter is the way to get it. You will get a better sound frequency range from your factory tuner than your cassette. The factory Head unit in your Sable isn't bad, just changing the factory speakers will make a huge diffrence. Good Luck, and don't forget to vote.
