SOURCE: 91 landcruiser 80 series gxl replacement drivers seat

You can get a replacement seat from a wrecking yard and would guess you would pay around $75.00 to $100.00 for the seat or you could go to a reupholster and have it redone like new for somewhere around $150 to $200.

I have 2003 Toyota Camry and the power seat is jammed all the way forward and won't move back. The tilt and lumbar power all works fine. Any idea whta may need to be replaced and how much for...

I'm sure you might have thought of this, but double check to see if something is jammed under the seat keeping it from moving back and forth. Move the set up as high as it will go, and look with a flashlight especially at the tracks. As to repairing it, you are going to pay time and materials for repairs at a body shop, and if the motor is burned out, that is going to run around $100 to $130 unless you attempt to locate one in a junkyard (nto likely since it is still a fairly newer vehicle). Removing and installing the new motor will require removing the seat, so I wouldn't be surprised if the total was $250-$300 or more. If it were mine, I'd carefully check the connections to the motor, the harness, and the seat tracks for obstructions.

I have a 1993 Mercury Topaz that I just bought, and the drivers side seat will not move forward, it will go in all other directions, but won't move forward...any suggestions?

There are 3 electric motors on the seat. One is forward and back, one is front up and down, and one is rear up and down. The switch changes the polarity back and forth to achieve the proper movement. I think the wire color for the forward and back motor is yellow with a white tracer and red with a white tracer. so if the switch gives the motor positive voltage to the yellow with a white tracer and grounds the red with a white tracer the seat moves forward. If the switch gives the red with a white tracer positive and the yellow with a white tracer ground the seat moves back. (or the other way around). So we can safely say it is in the switch.
Good luck and God Bless

Broken sub tank switch in 80 series toyota landcruiser

Replace it. Most switches are mounted to plastic snap clips than can be removed with a simple Flathead screwdriver.A $5 plastic pry tool set is the best, but a butter knife or two works wonders sometimes.

Electric front seat stuck in forward position. It's a 2002 Camry. I moved the electric adjustment completely forward looking for an item and it would not return back to the original position. Both tilts...

I had the same problem on my 2003 Toyota Camry. The threaded drive screws are what spin underneath the seat and cause the seat to move back and forth (same way a garage door opens or closes). When the seat gets all the way in the forward position, the threading on the drive screws ends, which causes the bolts connected to the seat to jam and get stuck. It should sound like the motor is trying to turn but it won't, it just clicks. Un-jam the bolts and rotate them one rotation from the all the way forward position to ensure your seat is reinstalled straight.
