Go to the auto parts place and ask for some rust disolving spray. Spray it on and wait a couple of hours, you might have to do this several times to get the socket loose.

SOURCE: Honda civic 93 brake light fuse breaking

A fuse will only blow if there is too much current draw. It is likely that there is an intermittent short in the wiring for the brake circuit. Do you tow any trailers with lights connected up? They are common for having bad wiring, causing fuses to blow. If not, a auto electrician will need to check the current draw for the brake light system, a quick and easy job, to find out if there is a fault present all the time or just intermittently. Intermittent wiring faults can be very time consuming (read expensive) to find.

SOURCE: brake lights not working,

Assuming the wiring to the brake lights is serviceable, you will find that the brake light switch, which is activated by the brake pedal for the brake lights, will have failed and will need to be replaced.

Just ensure you first replace the fuse and both brake light bulbs as an initial step and then re-check to ensure you still have no lights.

How to pull brake light bulb 93 t bird

It probably is stuck due to corrosion. You might have to replace the bulb and socket. You could try spaying WD-40 on it and wait awhile and the try to remove it again.

I have a 93 honda prelude. My problem is the right brake light is not working. I already change the bulb. But still not working. Any suggestion. Thnkz

You very likely have a defective bulb socket, get a replacement from a auto parts store and wire it in, remember only cut and connect one wire at a time to avoid confusion. Solder and shrink tube the connections to the new socket is the best method, do not use crimp connectors or heaven forbid "twist" and tape the wires together. If you feel you don't have the skill have a shop repair it.

Im looking for a wiring diagram for the brake lights. 93 GMC Jimmy. The brake lights stopped working and i have tryed the fuse, bulbs and the brake switch. What else could it be? Thanks 93 Jimmy...

What happens if you have the key in the run position, you foot on the brake and you wiggle, pull, push the turn signal lever. Also try turning the hazards on and off slowly. All while keeping an eye on the brake lights to see if they come on momentarily.

I'm pretty sure the brake and turn signal share the same bulb If so we know that the bulb and the wiring from the switch to the bulb is fine. If there is power into and out of the brake switch than it is reasonable to assume that the problem is in between the brake switch and the turn signal switch if not the switch itself.

Stuck in park , replaced brake switch still does not work

Are your brake lights in the back working?
Check the fuses???
If they are then nothing wrong with the brake switch.
I have had bad brake light bulbs --shoring out and keep flowing fuses.
Good Luck

Brake Lamp remains on

This light is controlled by the hand brake, brake fluid level and on some models the brake pad wear indicators.
Low brake pads or a broken sensor wire is a common reason for this problem.
