You probably caused a surge in the wiring at some time in the starter replacement process. Check all the fuses in the fuse box under the dashboard.

SOURCE: 2oo2 ford F-150 can't get out of park, wipers and elec. windows won't work

check for water intrusion on left side of dash. just above the fuse panel (or on backside) if this is so..the GEM module may have been damaged...for short term to drive the truck...turn the key to the on position without starting truck...shift into neutral, then start the engine....you can now drive the vehicle until fixed...hope this helps!

did you disconect battery posts before doing work on it ? there might be a ground wire on the starter that didnt get connected properly also see if there is a fuse link going to one of the battery cables and check fuse or check for corrosion

SOURCE: I have a 2002 f150 I worked on starter and got going but now my radio wipers reverse lights and heater will not work. Please help I'm cold!!!!

Do you have an email? If so I can send you 3 pdf files of wiring diagrams that I believe would help. Also check fusible links down by the starter. Power for various circuits feed off the starter (battery post). You may have broken one of them. They look like a wire about #10 gauge usually red and a little different from other wires.

I recently put a new head unit in my 2002 ford escort zx2.. now dash lights (speedometer and what not), reverse lights, and my shifter lights wont work at all.? any ideas

Probably cut or pulled something out of place when you installed the new head unit. I would pull it out and do a visual inspection to see if there are any damaged wires or if something came unplugged.

I have a 2002 ford f350 7.3 diesel p/u. I have replaced 3 starters in three weeks. 50% of the time when I turn the ignition to on, the starter begins to crank. Also, starter will reengage while driving....

It almost sounds like something may be wrong with your Ignition switch. Other things to check would be wires going down to starter, wires at starter cellenoid on fire wall.

Same problem

Check your fuses for wipers and lights. If good use a volt meter and check power at the fuse. If your wipers, radio and dash lights worked before you changed the nuetral safety switch I would retrace my steps and make sure I didn't leave something disconnected. It happens a lot. Let me know what you find.

There are 2 small wires on the solenoid at the starter. It sounds like they are reversed. Reverse those two wires and see if it works. If the old starter did the same thing but worked before that, then the problem is probably the ignition switch.

My dads truck isnt working an i think may be some main fuze

i will suggest to check the fuses and relays first before opening up your f-150, becuase it looks that you have a bad relay
that's the easiest cheapest way,
also seems that you have a bad brake switch, that switch allows you to turn the shifter to drive, when you turn it on it locks, but without power is open, try that and let me know
