Re: over heating when the aircon is on
No, It is not Meant to go Faster. This is caused by a Clogged Thermostat. Get this changed and it should be fine. Let me know if you need any more Help! Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help I can Get! Thanks!

When your A/C is on it puts an additional load on the engine. The throttle positioning solenoid pushes on the throttle linkage and increases the idle when A/C is on. Some are electric some vacuum You need to check and make sure its not stuck, plunger should get a shot of WD40 and move with finger to work in.
Make sure the connection is good Vac or Elect WD linkage also
the engine doesn't like the extra stress of the air con unit being run _ there is no way of fixing this _ unless you get a full engine overhaul or a secondhand engine and installed _ the engine is old and the extra pressure on it with the aircon it just cant handle it
Anytime the A/C is on, one or both radiator fans will be automatically turned on, and run as long as A/C is used. Check a wiring diagram, you might be able to troubleshoot it. Relay terminals are a good place to check for power or loss thereof.
The smell is typical of older Mazda aircon. Purchase an aircon cleaning spray which is discharged into the aircon system by selecting recirc , cloing the windows for 5 minutes . This cleanses the system which is probably contaminated with bacteria. Recharging your air con will help as well. The smell is due to evaporate condensed water mixed with sludge and bacteria .
change the antifreeze and flush your system, its been hot lately so the motor heat goes up too, having the AC on makes the motor work harder, so thats normal that the temp would rise when its on. traveling on the road allows air to help cool the motor, sitting in traffic slows the air, so there again heat will increase
Check to see if you have an air conditioner fan which is usually fitted on the outer (grill) side of the radiator, make sure that works when you switch the air conditioner on when the temperature goes up.
ok when ur sitting there no hot air is coming in to the air con radiator at front of car because your not driving but when your driving it comes in but stays cold because the fan kicks in is your aircon fan working?
or does it need more gas thats what else can cause this
