Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Truck was parked tail lights came on during the night, still power in battery as it is brand new tried to start it and parking lights stayed on and it seems the fuel pump is not working is one problem connected to the other one
YOU STILL NEED TO HAVE THE BATTERY FULLY CHARGE . LIGHT USE 5 TO 7 AMP FOR THE ECM TO POWER UP. IT NEED A FULL CHARGE. THE TAIL LIGHT WILL DRAIN THE BATTERY AND WILL NOT WORK. JUMP TRUCK AND REPLACED BRAKE STWITH OR ADJEST IT.WITH A GOOD BATTERY KEY ON YOU WILL HEAR THE PUMP RUN FOR 15 TO 20 SECONDS AND IT SHOULD RUN

My truck did this after I replaced the fuel pump. Turned out to Fuel Pressure Regulator. It would crank and crank but never start. It's located underneath the black plastic manifold on the side of the injectors.
