SOURCE: turn signals and traction control are not working properly.

I had the same problem with mine.  All you have to do is replace the hazzard switch.  It costs about 40 bucks for the switch, and takes about ten minutes to replace.  Just take off the dash cover and swap them out.
Hope I helped!

SOURCE: traction system light and abs light come on at same time

You still have issues with the speed sensors. The wires that connect to the hubs are known for failure.

Why would using the turn signals make the engine misfire

The common element to me is the battery - bad voltage can upset the computer.

Parking Brake, ABS, Traction Control & Anti Skid lights on

One or more of the sensors in the wheels that are responsible for these functions is faulty. It is sending a signal that is mucking up the calculations that control the brakes and engine for traction control and anti skid. All of them need to be checked!

look on the front axles for the ring with teeth look between the teeth for cracks rust forms behind the ring and the rust expands and cracks the ring the crack then sends the wrong speed signal to the brake module

ABS/Traction and Turn Signal issue.

bad wheel speed sensor or wiring to it open or shorted. just fixed same ABS & Traction Control problem on my 2001 Chevy. No matter make or model the systems are pretty much the same.

ABS and TC work together, a problem with either one of these will set both lights.

If you can get a ACTRON Code reader 9185 it will read Gobal and ABS codes. Don't know if your local auto parts store will be able to read ABS codes for you. I repaired mine for $140.00 no more problems - take it to a dealer and you will be looking at $800.00 plus.

good luck

Abs & traction control lites come on when turning hard left & accelerating . Why ?

sometimes something like this can be bad tires or bad brakes. first inspect your tires and brakes. it also depends on how fast you are going it could be normal actually. now my fathers s10 did the same thing but his brakes started clicking and slower to stop, but his abs computer was bad.

I get intermittent ABS, traction control and power steering warnings simultaneously. After the ABS & traction indicators stay on typically until I restart the car .

The problem lies in one of the ABS wheel sensors. Most likely on the drive axle. Because the ABS sensor is only working part of the time. When it stops working it gives a signal telling the system that the wheel is spinning without traction. In doing this the vehicle computer tells the engine to go into the limp mode. If this is the trouble you may be able to confirm it by removing your foot from the accelerator and reapplying. It should regain power for the few fractions of a second it takes for the ABS sensor to retransmit the failure signal.

Anti lock, trac off, service vehicle, check engine lights are on &the brake pedal starts to stop then slips with humming sound repeatedly so what is it?

Year make and model?

You'll need to start by pulley codes. There could be more than one problem, but your description sounds like a condition known as overactive ABS. This is caused by a wheel speed sensor dropping or loosing its signal at slow speeds which fools the ABS into thinking the wheel locked up.

Each wheel will have a sensor so having the code information will make it a lot easier to determine which wheel is having the problem.

the traction control light will come on anytime the ABS light is on because the traction control relies on the ABS to function correctly. Usually the check engine light will not come on when there is an ABS issue which leads me to believe there are two issues.

Clicking noise coming from the dash

The multi-function (aka combination) switch probably has contaminated grease in the switch contacts from wear.

See:
http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-Grand-Am-Turn-Signals

for do-it-yourself repair instructions. You can also buy a new aftermarket switch, if you don't want to take apart the existing one and clean up the electrical contacts.

For example, see:
http://www.autozone.com/Ntt,SW1414/shopping/allResults.htm
(or just go to http://www.autozone.com/ and search for part #SW1414)

For 2003 Grand Am, it was listed as "Duralast / dimmer switch", but other makes & models may go by another name.

The OEM (GM) part number for mine was: 22676853
