Speedometer don't work and my car won't shift up could it be possible that the ecm is bad every thing worked before I changed it

this indicates a problem in the VSS which controls both of your stated items
it could be a problem ECM if it happened after a ECM was changed
to test change with a new or known ECM and if there is not results then run the fault codes and look for the VSS sensor

Is this an ECM problem?

No, not the ECM. Replace the alternator. The ECM fields/grounds the alternator to work. The ECM monitors the voltage and sets the light if voltage is to low or to high. Since it puts out 16+ volts the ECM is still working. The regulator in the alternator is bad.

My securityght is on with the ecm out on 1998 buick lesabre why???

since you removed the Ecm theres now no communication with the ECM and Security the ECM just needs to be put back in. Make sure u disconnect the batter before removing or installing ECM...... This question is kind like asking why my headlight don't work after I beat it with a bat .

1999 chrysler cirrus 2.5l won't start

The ECM sends a GND signal to the Fuel Pump relay to switch it ON. When 'jumping' relays, there is a risk that you might feed +12V to Gnd switch line, in this case the ECM line. If left too long, this would blow the diodes in the ECM. Try using another ECM. Try following the ignition circuit from the ignition coil back to the ECM. One of the wires connected to coil should have +12v when IGN on. Sparking only happens when ECM sends GND pulses to the coil. If ECM is OK, check camshaft position sensor, which is also usually referred to by the ECM for ignition firing.

Delta 88 5L 307 ECM not working

The ECM is functioning but the problem is the way the data is being communicated to the scanner. There are several different procedures to follow when reading scanners so ensure that your connecting cables are right for you ECM and scanner.

87 Buick century...3.8 well maintained...had in garage for a month...all sensors have been verified..bought new computer and used old proms..still no resolve...finally took to dealer and they said a bad...

I doubt the ECM from a C body would work on your Century. I would probably buy a used computer and prom from a car exactly like yours. The prom is calibrated to the body style, engine, and trans. Each year and model can be different due to emissions standards.

ECM fuse keeps popping and fuel system don't work

There should be two ECM fuses. Number one powers the injectors and some of the solenoids along with the ECM. Number two or B powers the fuel pump relay and the rest of the ECM including the sensors that provide data to the ECM. Both are 10amp circuits.
You may need to get a shop manual to have the wiring diagrams to troubleshoot the circuits.

Car turns over but wont start also the ecm will not give any information the fuel pump is working but no spark

your ECM may be shot. go to your local Nissan dealer and have them run your VIN number for any campaigns. Your model sentra had a ECM foam campaign where the ECM foam inside of the ECM box gets removed, because of the adhesive that Nissan used to adhere the foam inside of the ECM box. The glue that nissan used is toxic and eats the ECM from the inside. That mey be causing your issues. have the VIN number checked to see if the campaign has been performed/foam removed.

No bus

No bus is a serious problem with the Stratus.. Most cases it's the ECM.. You need to check all your fuses.. Disconnect the battery and let it sit about an hour and turn the key on and off before reconnecting.

Use the remote key lock and lock the doors and unlock with the remote key and try to start..

Probably none of this will work... You'll probably need a ECM.. If it has a security system, the junk yard ones won't work.. It'll fire up and then go dead.. Then the ECM is toast. Seems the Dodge guys figured out a way to defeat anybody working on it.

There is hope. There is a ECM repair place in south Florida that knows how to make the ECM work without having to take it to the dealer. They specialize in Dodge ECM's

My ECM is not comunicating with my glow plug relay. I replaced ecm and still get no power to my glow plugs. I tried an ecm from another 02 F-350 PS and it works fine but the programs in the two ecm's are...

As I understand these systems the ECM is not what powers the glow plug relay. Any kind of engine controls happen after the engine starts.

There should be a power relay which feeds the juice to the glow plug relay. When you turn the keyswitch to start and the light for the glow plugs goes out you should hear a clicking as the glow plug timer cycles juice to the glow plugs.

The glow plug side is a separate system from the fuel management side. Someone should check the glow plugs to see if each is good. The diesel system used to be simple and it sounds like you are complicating what should be a simple repair. I could be wrong, but it does not sound like the Dealer is selling you the parts you need.

A diesel needs a heated combustion chamber to initially fire and then it runs by compression. Perhaps if you change the power relay from the vehicle you removed the ECM from and tried it in your truck it would work with your old ECM.
