Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix
Every now and then I will find that one of my power windows stop working. Just out of the blue, and then they just start working again. Sometimes they don't work for a few hours, sometimes for several days or weeks. Would make more sense if it was always one certain window, but it isn't, Most often I am alone in the vehicle so the main controller is used the most, but the 4 windows all have at one point or another failed to work.
There is a self-resetting circuit breaker in the power feed to all the windows - it may be faulty and tripping once in a while under load.

try kinking the wire harness between the door and the chassis,if that works then you need to repair the wire harness.they will break in two over years of opening and closing the door.
