P2197 Lack of HO2S-21 Switch ,Sensor indicates Lean

I own the same car,so to keep it simple

You should have replaced the front or uptream oxygen
sensors at 100,000 miles or when they fail which they just did

You can go to Rock Auto & buy NTK O2 Sensors, they were
the original ones & replace yourself
No need to pay someone

They are on both sides of the exhaust screwed into the converter

Coil the 5" of extra wire you get & wire tie

The connnectors will be the same only white color
vs: blue same exact part

The shaking has to do with a dirty MAF Sensor your should
clean once a year & spark plugs that should be changed
every 3 years.

Thoose cars are suject to at least one or more COP Igniton
Coil failures a year I have 6 fail at once & don't always set codes
& never the correct codes & my professional software doesn't
alway help, sometime just have to walk a new coil

Rock Auto--Wells Coils, one bolt fairly easy job once you find
a bad coil

SOURCE: 2000 lincoln ls i got a trouble code p1633 (KAM)voltage to low

P1633 means KAM (Keep Alive Memory ) Voltage too low. the KAM is caused by low battery voltage and you replace the battery. When you replace the battery the KAM loses Memory and the problems resulting in what you are experiencing now. When replacing a new battery, reconnect the Positive cable first. And use a trickle battery charger set low to the cables before disconnectng the battery . this will keep the voltage to the ECM powered with enough voltage. All you can do now is make the computer relearn the way it should run. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, wait a while 20 seconds or so. then reconnect the cable. I do not know if this is a temporary fix or not but it should re-program the computer.

SOURCE: 2002 lincoln ls engine light

These cars are famous for leaky seals where the valve cover interfaces with the cylinder head, at the spark plug journals. They fill with oil, short the coils and cause a misfire. Driving it any significant distance can destroy your catalytic converters ad unburnt fuel ignites therein, creating inferno-like conditions and a fire hazard too. You'll get a "300 code", such as 301 if cylinder 1 is misfiring, 302 for # 2, etc. Pull the coil off the spark plug for that cylinder and if it is moist at all, that's your issue. Have new seals put in, or you'll just keep blowing coils at $50 a whack.

I have 2004 lincoln Ls problems with codes p0171 p0174 p430 p2195 p2197

You did not state the symptoms you're getting(problems) . The lean codes are usually caused by either a bad vacuum leak or the Coils going bad, causing a miss.

PO171 & PO174 are codes for fuel too lean. So is the clattering valves when you step on it. Sounds like you got some bad gas. Try filling up with a high octane gas and add a gas treatment for Ethanol which will help get some water out of the system. Good Luck

P0171 & P0174 are lean codes.this can be cause by a vacuum leak. One of the symptoms is a ruff idle when cold.

You can listen for it or you can have it smoke checked by a shop. Most common causes are intake plenum gaskets and rotted PVC hoses.

I have trouble codes p0430, p0301,p0316, p2195 and p2197. thecar is a 2004 lincoln ls 3.0 v6 with 116000 miles. can anyone help me solve my problem?

PO-430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
PO-0301 Should be a misfire on COP Coil #1
PO-316 Misfire Occured in the First 1000 Engine Revolutions
P-2195 Lack of HO2-11 Switch/Lean
P2197 Lack of HO2-21

I have the same vehicle,only a V8
What you have is a very common ford problem. The Ignition Coil on Cylinder #1 is Bad. You can buy it at the local auto part store and change yourself. About $59.00. You remove the coil cover on top of the valve covers, then the coil. I did one in Feb and believe all you need is a 7mm wrench and 7mm socket. #1 should be at the front of engine/pass side.

The other codes are related and you can see if any are there, after you do the coil replacement. If so give them to me.
